Connie Sue Hendershot

Connie Sue (Criswell) Hendershot, 60, of Circleville, Ohio went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, January 11, 2014, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus Ohio. She was born January 31, 1953, in Marion, Ohio to Paul and Delores (Brown) Criswell of Caledonia, Ohio who survives. On April 2, 1977, she married Robert Lee Hendershot who survives. Also surviving are daughter Jennifer (Matt) Capsel and granddaughter Isabelle of Circleville, Ohio; son Kevin (Angie) Hendershot and grandson Robert James (RJ) and granddaughter Sophia of Long Beach, Mississippi; daughter Renee Hendershot of Long Beach, Mississippi; sister Linda (Francis) Corbin of Marion, Ohio; brothers Ron (Sue) Criswell, Larry (Clara) Criswell and Steve (Patty) Criswell all of Caledonia, Ohio; Sister-in-law Ruth (Henry) Scurlock of Columbus, Ohio; brother-in-law Joel (Paula) Hendershot of Galion, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.
  
Connie graduated from River Valley High School of Marion, Ohio in 1971 and then graduated from The Ohio State University in 1976 with a major in education. She was an active member of Crossroads Church of Christ in Christian Union where she enjoyed serving on the missionary committee. She was honored by being named the Mission Minded Woman of the year in 2010.  Connie was privileged to be a part of 16 mission teams since 2000.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Crossroads Church, 5679 Tarlton Road, Circleville, Ohio on Saturday January 18, 2014 at One o’clock in the afternoon. The family will be available for visiting an hour prior to the service and again after the Celebration of Life.

Memorial contributions can be made in lieu of flowers to the Memorial Bible Program; The Gideons International, P O Box 140800, Nashville, TN 37214-0800.

  1. Our thoughts & prayers are with the Hendershot family through this difficult time. We are saddened with the loss of Connie here on earth, but rejoice as we know she is now in Heaven.
